I got a re skim to do in a bathroom it's coated in some red oil based paint when you pva the walls the paint bubbles up will I get away skimming it or will it be best to scrape the paint off??

Hampshire we get aright price £3 on the metal £1.20-£1.50 on the board depends on type of board that's per skin (that's first fix) closing up is £1 on the insulation and what eva price of board is mf bout £5.00 complete

sorry miss read your post build it out of 70mm stud with res bar double skin of board say your using a knauf system

have they got a spec they want you to use?? are you building the walls aswell? I would use res bar across the metal studs and double skin of board the res bar stops the sound from travling up the studs !!!
