Alright, I'm doing a ceiling tomorrow, but forgot if its just the one or two layers. I only put one layer on last ceiling I done, turned out alright but want to make sure. Also does it make any difference if its on artex or plasterboard? I know all the things to do before applying the plaster...

Alex, 19 from south wales. Done a years plastering in college back in 2011, but never really hit it off. Only rendered around 10 houses/pubs, always for different employers though as I couldn't find one that had regular work on the go or that didn't work away, "which didn't appeal to me at 17"...
