Anyone used dura finish - does it go on the same as multi, does it take longer? Any tips for using it?

We are on a job priced for 11mm hardwall + skim on blockwork. It turns out the bricky put the walls up with his eyes shut and we are dubbing out upto 20mm in places. The contractor is shrugging his shoulders... how much extra should we be charging and more importantly how do we convince him...
