Price the entire job break it down for them hallway,b/rooms/lounge etc and if they don't like your price move on and remember your only as good as your last job. One bit of advice if you realy do think thats a "big" job let someone else do it.you will be doing yourself a favour
More advice on the basics of plastering. i thought this was a site for tradesmen not chancers, still if some of you want to explain to them how to take money out of your own pockets, thats your choice.
Whats with the overboard?can't understand you will have to take off the skirting and loose some of the corbels depth.
Sorry mate do yourself a favoure get a plasterer to do it.
Lets get this straight, a builder rings up a plasterer and asks him to do some demolition work for him while his men get on with dot an dab and then that plasterer asks tpf for advise...
Use compound adhesive, small dabs remember you have to scrape it off later. As for the inner arch, cut hardboard in strip of almost the width of the inside of arch
bed it on inside of arch then put your beads on again stand back and adjust so all lines up. then render profile,
Hardboard.sand the edges after cutting, tap it flat with a straight edge, stand back line up both arch's
[bedding them to wall gives time to adjust so the margins line up]
By new you mean not a clue, so i'll ask this lot. This is not a playground people have thousands ££££s tied up in there homes, they Need someone who knows what there doing
Why should they pay for someone to practice on there homes? would you let a novice fix the brakes on a loved ones car?
