Re rendering onto block which is prone to cracking. Want to use a Weber or k rend cement base coat with mesh but then sand and cement render on top. Should this be ok? Looked at using a 10mm mesh with just sand and cement but think this will be hard to cover with he sand. Any suggestions?

Hi All, Just after a bit of help if you can. Can I use K rend base coat as first and second coat and then just paint it? I've used it before years ago but was 1st coat with mesh, second coated and then finished with Silicone coloured finish. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks in advance! Jon
