Yeah we was on there for a bit but the job was terrible, got 3/4 through 2 blocks after having 2 days worth of materials delivered once a week for months before a complete stop, run by some 1 who was down in england and only contactable once a week if lucky and seen on site every 2-3 weeks for 1...

Yeah we are using maite as a dash receiver on top of rockwool boards, horrible spec but thats down to the contractor. Parex are on site 2morrow for a demo ill let you know how we get on with it! lol

Im aware of that m8, but i wasnt in the financial position at the time to take the days off looking for other work. Luckily times are better now because i was looking for more work whilst with that company i got in with some 1 with fair rates

Exactly what i was on when i first got up here, didnt have a choice had to get some sort of income in! house every 2 days between me and a lab making like £80 takehome after a hard days graft was a f*cking joke!

subby labour alone up here is about 18-20 m2 so just work out materials on top and if its a homer add your scaff,protections ect. easy work, easy money lol

Get them on early in the morning should be ok to sponge up before it gets dark! Hangs around all day with this weather

Hey guys looking for Scottish PFT rep name and number Any recomendations to which machine would be best suited for EWI using the alsecco system so basecoat is using same material as the topcoat dash receiver, so it doesnt need to be able to spray basecoats.

Materials are on site already, thats why im not familiar with drying times as iv not used Enywall products before. Also going over some 1's terrible terrible Krend, cracks everywhere and uneven scrapping, i know its not needed but he's got people in painting the whole external of the block after...

And that's primer to dry not the undercoat.

Got some panels to hit 2morrow, undercoat is not primmed yet though anyone have an idea how long it takes for this stuff to dry enough until I will be able to coat with acrylic? Im in Scotland so no direct sunlight and will be about 3-7degree's for majority of the day. Thanks.

The work is there, lacking in reliable workmen still haha ill prob just leave the EWI up here untill the weather gets warm again, for the money a couple days a week that you get good enough weather just isnt worth it.

Seen this stuff when I done a mp75 training day, was impressive stuff. They had a guy who couldn't use a trowel applying it, he got the room to a ok finish aswell, id imagine any half decent spread could get this stuff near spot on provided the boarding was perfect!

Thanks guys used the basecoat and it worked a treat!

Went into travis today to order some OCR or CPI for a job i have lined up. They couldn't find anyone who stocked it locally but went on to recommend I use UF basecoat instead, can you rub this up to a finish similar to ocr? cheers guys.

Recently moved to Glasgow to bothwell/uddingston area, any local tradesmen on here to recommend somewhere other than wickes, found a travis but its 20min drive bit to far to make daily trips maybe a little merchants in an industrial est I haven't stumbled across yet :confused: thanks!

Yep sort out a cash card with them for free, then negotiate a price per item you wish to purchase, receipts from other places help also try speak to a manager, they can give the best prices

Still getting used to mine, ideal for flattening down after laying in but the rest then is down to the trowel

He can now buy mine if he likes using them like that :RpS_thumbup:

Rendering outside and my trowel was lent up against my bucket whilst i was rullling off, look back and the daft roofer has instead of reversing out, 3 point turned and ran over my trowel! 5 years iv had that bad boy so as you can imagine i wasnt best pleased! The blade seems to be undamaged but...

Im sure its kicked off already down my area, my brother has just bought a house and had a rep round, i think the scaffolding goes up this week. They also installed a FREE outside tap !

what sort of dates before they stoped using distemper? had a painted ceiling bubble then come down the other day i hate the stuff lol!
