Could anybody tell me if they have used an alternative to Krends accelerator on FT White..
I can't get hold of Wickes accelerator as I live on the Isle of Wight and worried about colour change.
Any help appreciated [emoji106]
Alright lads, do any of you use a tub mixer when rendering pre bagged renders? Been looking at the Belle tub mixer 50. I'm guessing that means 50ltr which is quite small. Any other mixers out there which won't break the bank?
Had a parcel turn up yesterday and couldn't remember ordering anything this week, we'll apart from some bits from P1ss :D
Just want to say a big thanks, will enjoy many a pint from this ;)
and the key rings will be put to good use.
As above. Just looking at different thin coat renders, Krend/ Mapei/ Jub. (Have only used Krend).
What thickness would you apply? (with mesh) To go onto Durox light weight blocks. I was thinking 10mm. Is this right?
Thinking about getting a spray gun to apply thin coat. Apart from the rendering machines. Just wondering what is out on the market. Also the cost for a spray set up? (compressor etc) Mainly work on my own or with a labourer if needed. Thinking it would make life easier, especially on larger...
Alright fellas. Where would be the best place to get decent rendering mesh. I'm on the Isle of Wight so ideally online.
Have used various ones, last one was from Ebay and was awful stuff, fibre glass splinters for days. Threw it in the end. Jewsons charging £75 a roll for K rend mesh, a little...
I'm just wondering what mix people use on below dpc plinths? Its on common red brick. I was going to do a 5:1 with waterproofer for scratch coat on the plinths.
Used one today on last 2 passes and must say its a nice trowel. I find the s*p*r*lex too flexible and doesn't cut
the high spots off. I lay on with a Refina premium 16", and use it to trowel up for the majority of the set and flatten ( sometimes run a spat over to take out any lines when first...
Does anyone know what product you would use over painted brick work before putting an acrylic system on ( base coat, primer, K rend tc 15) It's a cottage with a stream 2 metres away on the side that the customer wants rendering. The paint is peeling and flaking in areas and there is also what...
Ive ordered some as have a big ceiling to do on my own in a few weeks. Going on to new plasterboard. Could do it as normal at a push but fancied trying this Extra time. Anyone used it? Any good?
Hi all.
Have a small K rend job next week. About 35 m2. I'm not to keen to leave it overnight as it's on a high street with a narrow pavement. Can just see someone walking past and damaging it whilst its setting. I'm on the Isle of Wight and we don't have a Wickes. Any alternatives to allow me...
My new mixer has turned up today. Looks like a good bit of kit.
Thing is, I can't get it in gear! I'm probably being thick. The manual says to push the speed selector in and slide to required speed. But the switch barely moves and the gear doesn't engage. There is a screw in the middle of the...
What do you guys use? Is there much difference?
The reason I ask is I have used Krend and Prorend. I don't claim to be a master, I've done a handful of monocouche jobs and they have always looked good. But the information I have used for guidance has just been off of the net and I am looking at...
Hello all.
When ever I've done K rend the client has ordered the materials. Have just had a quote from Jewsons for enough base and top cos do do 20m2. Seems a little steep or has the price gone up?
