Hello Lads Have a fire place quite big, about 5 Msq Going to render it with High heat resistant render. But what is the best way to make it look ascetically pleasing, look nice basically :D do you just leave the render once its been troweled up, and paint it or is there some other technique...

I'm very new to this forum, I have been in building on and off, I have a fair bit of knowledge. Worked as a laborer, plasterers laborer, and decorated. I have done minor jobs plastering before, and I am taking a P/T course to increase my skills and knowledge. I am hoping to get out there soon...
