    Its the whole 4 walls floor to ceiling that will be getting re-tiled, and the adhesive is all over and very well stuck 3,4,5mm thick in places. After googling around it seems that a bonding coat is a no no for tiling on to as well as using PVA. I am edging towards a thin coat off sand/cement...

    1st coat 1 and half bags = 15m2....2nd coat 7.5 m2 = 22.5 m2....Cheers :)

I know fully well you cant become a plasterer in 12 months thats why i am asking dohhh! Regarding m2, I know fully well a 25kg bag does around 10m2 so 2 coats...

    your wrong there my friend, just done 12 months at plastering college and got nvq 1 and 2 so not a d.i.yer i am wanting to do this as a proffesion :)

    I'm probably more confident with monocouche than skimming, did a couple of jobs in the summer with a plasterer...long days though !

    I need to get in with a time served plasterer from Leeds to get my speed up, no-ones botherd though..would labour and spread for a labourers wage to get that experience.. I'm good at it but need that confidence on bigger areas

    Its about 15m2 i know thats nowt to you guys but to me it is. had a bad experience in the heatwave weather cpl months ago the plaster just set instantly with the heat lol.

    Interesting is that, so it does work ! but un-sure by those mixing guidelines on that site how much to put in to a 25kg bag of multi finish. Just want to try it til i pick my speed up so this will give me confidence.
