Hi guys
I'm after a self employed plasterer for work in the Essex area needs to have his own tools , van , be polite to customers and have a good all round knowledge of plastering for regular work
Cheers
Ok cheers for the help years ago all we used to do was sand +cement so that's not a problem would still rather work with it now than hardwall but a lot of houses we plaster now are mostly dot and dabbed so don't really use it a lot these days . Just thought if I could have used a pre bagged sand...
on the flats we are working on they have insisted they want sand cement render on all internal walls on the ground floor it is on blue lightweight celcons has anyone sprayed cpi straight on to celcons
Cheers
Hi there
Looked at a block of flats .we are doing the monocouche outside , the site agent wants us to do the the internal plastering I have sprayed hardwall before and went well just wondering how good the finish is using mp75 as its a high spec job as skimming hardwall after is a pain
Cheers
We used the standard monoblanco which finished nice
we was after a few bags of ehi to do a few dormers which they didn't end up getting done in render
how have you found it
I have a job to paraguard after we have monocuche how long after do u have to leave it before sealing and does it affect the colour or appearance in any way
thanks
we have had the same before I find a lot of so called plastering sand comes up to fine so we always mix sharp and a small amount of building sand seems to bind it together nice . we always use the opc blue circle paper bags seems the mastercrete and others have got to many plastiscers in them
I think they like the moncouche finish I have only ever used parex so am not familiar with the other monocouche they say ehi does between 1.7-2.1 m can't think how much the ehi is we pay 9.20 plus vat for monorex I know ehi is quite a bit dearer
We have a job to do on a timber framed property we always use parex so we would use render board maite, then ehi monorex
but it works out so expensive are there any cheaper systems
cheers
Brought a 600 and 900 about a year ago every now then I use them but what happens is I flatten in my first coat with them then flatten my second coat then I use my trowel but it seems to leave it really greasy where am I going wrong .as I say only use them every now and then
Looked at a job tonight that had been monocouche but really really badly white streaky marks up it ,the bloke who's house it was ,was not sure what method they used just told me it was on pebble dash I asked him about hacking off and he asked me could I go on top of it is this possible ?
Is anyone still doing same day on monocouche ?
finished putting on about 5ish Friday came back about 630 Saturday morning felt a hard scrape back used monorex
Yeah I agree that's what made my mind up doing the gable Saturday was all the loading out and grief that comes with it . Is that roughly what the machines throw out a bag a minute .?
To be honest we cover up anyway so would make no difference on that front.watched a few videos with the machines don't look loads quicker just seems a lot less messing around with loading levels out and doing that gable yesterday we could have done it with 2 rather than 3 . Just hope the outlay...
Obviously this depends on the individual but if you was spraying monocouche on a gable wall of roughly 50 metres with scaffold up how long roughly would you expect to take to put it on ? Obviously I know it will vary
cheers
