    Johnsons base coat

It's one of the worst products to put through a machine I use the G4 nearly everyday and don't have any problems with anything else the machine is not at fault it is setup correctly and doesn't change anything while working It's the gear it's not very compatible with the machine
  2. E

    Johnsons base coat

Yeah I've just bought one too but I can't get while Wednesday and the job will be done by then Either way it's s**t gear nothing but a mess about
  3. E

    Johnsons base coat

Hi buddy yeah I've used it that stuff goes through the machine just fine never had a problem with it
  4. E

    Johnsons base coat

I got loads done far more that you could hand apply it was just annoying and inconsistent You'd have to be crazy to hand apply when you use a G4
  5. E

    Johnsons base coat

That's not gow G4's work buddy even with all the hassle using this s**t through a machine you'd never get anywhere close to the amount of meters achieved mixing it by hand
  6. E

    Johnsons base coat

Vincey after the first half hour it ranges from really stodgy to like piss to how you want it but by the time you get ot how you want it again you need to turn back and get the mesh in so from there it's back to square 1
  7. E

    Johnsons base coat

No the machine mixes it and sends it through the mortar hose to the spray gun which sprays it on the wall Once the water is set on startup the gear should be consistent all day unless the rotor and stator has gone which mine hasn't The consistency of the gear is determined on setup and should...

    Johnsons base coat

The machines really don't like this s**t you never know how it's going to spray after you've turned it off for any amount of time it seems to absorb moisture up the mixing chamber I've use machine for years and have never really gotten on with it anyone know a way around it cheers
  9. E

    Ritmo rip off

You must be crazy buying one after what you just said buddy it's nearly the same price as one of the best selling machines available with the very best backup and knowledge with a training day just for you
  10. E

Looking to get in the game

Think you need to be realistic with yourself first buddy that would be a good start
  11. E

    Skim over wet bonding

Yeah before the last trowel put your trowel flat on the wall and rub round in a circular motion over the bubbles they'll come out and in future if you want bonding to set quickly put a good handful of lime in the mix it sets it off fast
  12. E

    Ritmo rip off

Why would anyone risk buying one it's nearly the same price as a ritmo and there the dogs bollocs with a really good reputation and great backup
  13. E

    Ritmo l slimline

Yeah It's crap I point blank refuse to use it in summer time because will crack 100% of the time I'll occasionally use it in winter because of it's slow setting time overnight I was just wondering why the slimline struggles
  14. E

    Ritmo l slimline

Thanks buddy I'm just looking ahead how do you know to use these what was the problem with the normal R&S cheers
  15. E

Hardwall onto Thermalite Newbie Advice PLEASE!

Floating isn't for beginners in fact most so called plasterers can't do it properly or absolutely hate it except the old boy's they love it my advice is leave it well alone buddy there's simply too many things to know about it that take years of experience to get to a good standard
  17. E

    Ritmo l slimline

Hi everyone I've heard these struggle with k-rend products I've got one on order and was wondering if anyone have had any issues I'm basically troubleshooting before I run into any potential problems with the machine any info would be much appreciated thanks

    thermalite painting

Thermalite blocks will suck like a prostitute on price you definitely need to kill the suction with one of the external primers available

    Blebs

Don't know haven't skimmed anything for years it's beneath me now I'm a rock hard renderer
  20. E

    Blebs

Haha Sounds like a lot of work buddy wax on wax off technique for me
  21. E

    Blebs

To get rid of blebs let the gear pull and near the end put your trowel flat on the wall and rub round in a circle over the blebs it gets them out then give it a cross job done
  22. E

    Usyk vs Joshua

Haha unlucky Joshua you big racist stiff
  23. E

    Blebs

Put a hand full of lime in the mix it sends the bonding off really fast
  24. E

    When to use corner trowel?

After the second flick with water for me no need to put tramlines in the gear doing it too early
  25. E

    1st job nerves.

Confidence is king with plastering don't beat yourself mentally before you start it'll go wrong really fast just dismiss any nerves and do it
  26. E

    G5 vs G4

Every single renderer I know including myself use the g4 or for smaller job's the ritmo both machines are brilliant
  27. E

    Monocouche polymer render

Basecoat and mesh on anything knocked off is standard it gives it strength and reduces the risk of it cracking
  28. E

Hello from a Newbie - Weber render advice required!

Yeah both colours are really nice and subtle you can't go wrong with either
  29. E

Hello from a Newbie - Weber render advice required!

Silver pearl is an off white it's very popular both colours are really nice though and no it's not gray I do this all year round and silver pearl is the second most popular colour after chalk
  30. E

    Weber prices

No need to rend-aid new block work and 10mm is enough for an acrylic finish and put the mesh in with a pass then give it another pass to bring it up to depth and you control the amount of water it the ocr so if it's too thick it's your doing
  31. E

Monocoushe render sagging, is it ok to scrtach it?

It'll go over night when it's cool and put on late yeah
  32. E

    Weber prices

Around £70 per metre on the lower end
  33. E

    Johnstone’s stormshield render

Yeah spot on I reckon buddy
  34. E

    Johnstone’s stormshield render

Yeah I know buddy very difficult to achieve on a big elevation in the sun this stuff bakes really fast and like I said I've never ever had it not stick I've used it for years without any problems
  35. E

    Johnstone’s stormshield render

I've never known it not to stick either basecoats usually stick to everything especially themselves and you can't always do wet on wet especially in summer when it gets baked before you've finished meshing the elevation
  36. E

    monocouche render

The boards come in all sorts of sizes buddy and yes you're going to need to mesh it and everything you are wanting to do is expensive phone a couple of builders merchants and get some prices, up here in Leeds an 8×4 cement particle board is around £35 plus vat or you can get ewi polystyrene...
  37. E

    monocouche render

Yeah there's a few depends on what the shed is made of really
  38. E

    Thin coat render base coat.

    Yeah just slap some on
  39. E

    White Patch in Krend

Nothing will change really it will look exactly the same when sealed, you can patch white monocouche if you know what you are doing it doesn't hardly show like the colours do but then you are risking making it worse if they Don't execute it well, my advice is leave it
  40. E

    White Patch in Krend

Looks like a miss with the pad if so nothing can be done really forget about it
  41. E

    KRend advice

It depends on the surface you are going over it goes straight onto block work no base needed and yeah it's a scratch render
  42. E

    KRend advice

There's a big demand for it people love it buddy you're always better off being able to do everything, it's really easy if you know what you are doing well worth picking up
  43. E

    KRend advice

I stopped plastering completely after getting a G4 rendering with one is easier on the body and joints than plastering, most of the old spreads I know are f**k*d
  44. E

    KRend advice

I do just as many thin coat systems as I do monocouche it's more expensive for the customer and more visits for me, it is more durable for sure but much more weather dependent monocouche all year round really
  45. E

    KRend advice

It's all about the money buddy really good earner I love the stuff
  46. E

    KRend advice

It's where the money is in the plastering spectrum though I know loads of plasterers that hate it it's usually because they can't do it properly and end up doing a bad job,it frightens people off
  47. E

    KRend advice

Read his original post he is or was he also knows it's proper name
  48. E
