    A coat of 1-1sbr will control any suction, put a strong coat of pva on that and skim when tacky...

    Are you sure its damp and not condensation pal as the living conditions dont really effect rising damp.. I would always recomend a piv fan... It brings clean air into the property and puts it under postive pressure.....

    Cant tell without knocking it off but it has to come off no matter what... Remove the plaster, treat the substrate with an anti salt solution, inject dpc, render with water resistant render, skim, skirt.....

    I have been using the trowel now for the last few days...as usual with nela trowels its well made and comfortable in the hand .its nice and rigid when putting on, the only negative is probably down to personal preference, the blade is too flat for me, a new perma shape has a slight bend in it...

    Exactly... No matter how good the cream is dot and dab is not compatible because it does not control the salts... So is the wrong way of re-plastering...

    No it will not dry out as dot and dab is not compatible with a chemically injected damp course unless used in conjunction with membrane or tanking....

    I agree the trigger could be better but i have no real issue with it... If it splashes to much then you need to alter your bucket so the paddle is full submerged... I have a 1 bagger, 2 bagger and a 3... I have no real issue with splashing....

    They did half a job then....lol... My 1st house was the same, bought it in summer and the sub cellar was bone dry.... Come winter it had a foot of standing water...

    Correct answer... Dot and dab is for new builds and not refurbishment work.... Just dabbed a lounge at cutomers request but injected it then sand and cement rendered it to 1.2m 1st with added sbr....
