SMET is not something I have heard off before (which as I'm not a plasterer doesn't mean much!), I will have a look into it. KRend was what I wrote down when estimating costings etc for my build as their brand name is well known.

No one has been in touch yet, I thought there may be a couple of bites of here. I guess no one in the area. I'm happy to consider other options - which manufacturer/product are you suggesting?

Yeah I agree. The roof will go on first and then the blockwork will get thrown up followed by render last. With the dormers though, as they sit above the roof line and are stand alone items it may be easier to get them rendered before the roof is fully covered in tiles so there is clear space...

Hello all, I am about to undertake a self build near Louth in Lincolnshire. The outer skin of the build is going to be blockwork that needs rendering - are there any nearby plasterers on the forum that would be interested in looking at the job and quoting? Ta Jamie
