    Coming for you @Cockney1

Just out of interest; are there any "cockney boys" in the squad?

    Intolerant

From this will he be able to deduce that his Mrs is poisoning him? She's doing it nice and slowly so that the extension gets finished just before he croaks.

Plasterer wanted for 1 or 2 days work. Skimming.

I know, I received a potato in a box with c**t written on it. It tasted lovely.

I'm sat here fishing without a shirt on it's that warm. Bloody lovely.

    Finally

It's a bloody long way down to the step once the legs are extended. Especially if you've got little stumps like me.
  18. essexandy

    Distemper or not??

Honest, expert advice as always mate.
  19. essexandy

Hello people, new to the forum.

Absolutely loving the name. Literally don't care about the question. Sorry.

    Finally

I wished you'd mentioned it John as I've got a few brand new ones I don't want. You could have had them for owt.
  24. essexandy

    Finally

Here's another bit of advice. Get yourself a can of PTFE spray and with the legs fully extended give them a good coating of it.

One thing I'd never be bitter about is people doing well for themselves and earning plenty of money. Lovely to see.

Lack of holes wasn't the problem, not holding the beads firm enough was. I can only recall using tape a couple of times to get over a problem, once I tried Grip Fill for the first time I'd never have given tape fixing another thought. What do you think I've got to be bitter about?
  29. essexandy

Are you a renderer or do you work for a rendering business?

You will also be pestered by Surveymonkey for the rest of eternity.

Well Mr Tony Smith you are equally dislikeable on Facebook as you are on here. You really need to learn to take some honest criticism of your product better. Just out of interest; do you think you were the first person to fit a bead using tape? I can't be the only person that knows the failings...

@tapit are you Tony Smith on Facebook?

    Drywall Routers??

I've got one of those, but never bother using it now.

    Ain't been fishing for ages

It's only too cold when the water isn't wobbly any more.

    Ain't been fishing for ages

Much milder down here now Norm. I believe a few members are planning on dangling this weekend. Why don't you go and pester those jacks?

I did say "from various manufacturers" mate, it was solely aimed at you and Nela. I wholeheartedly agree with you about products evolving, as long as the new tools are an improvement, many simply are not. My son and I were using Nela flexy trowels on some walls in a 200+ year old cottage...

So that's where Triggers 21 broom heads went to.

What is your preferred type/size of spoon Oli? Have the socket beads been altered to allow for less thickness of plaster?

Trouble is that the politicians all went to the same school, so think they're normal.

Morning Ryan. The reason for my comments on this trowel were based on it being put out there as direct competition for the MT Permashape, which I don't believe it is. It may well be a really nice trowel once worn in, but I can use an MT P straight from the box. I don't know what MT do to the...

    Good brushes.

You don't pay for anything 'willingly' mate. I bet you poached it off your lad or a builder?
  41. essexandy

    Good brushes.

That won't be real copper on any brush you've been willing to pay for.
  42. essexandy

    Bucket trowel

A spare trowel is as good as anything for that mate.

    Plastering prices

Not quite an island, but this will have to do for now.
  44. essexandy

    Plastering prices

That's because people don't know where all the plasterers live, because they can't get past the electrified gates and moat to see them.
  45. essexandy

    Bucket trowel

Joking aside; I do use them when feeding the lake and really don't think they'd be ideal as a muck scoop. Well not the ones I've used or seen. They'd be hopeless for cleaning the sides of the bucket or getting the last gear out. You'd probably be as well using a small saucepan. Doesn't @algeeman...

    Bucket trowel

I think they're ideal for scooping animal feed.

    Trowel size.

And then you wake up in a cold sweat?
  49. essexandy

    Trowel size.

Why would a bigger trowel be better? I tried bigger trowels years ago out of curiousity, 13, 14, right up to 20 inches. I soon went back to 11in. Having found it harder to get the elevens I now use 11 1/2 and 12's. Way less strain on the body, especially if you're pushing s&c up the wall.

    It's because they think you're a c**t. Personally I think you're a wonderful, warm human being.
