    Hi I pulled all old crap off and got mate to re render and skim fully with SBR sand cement mix etc Seems to all be ok and the smell gone too :) Don't mind covering some things but some jobs should be done fully properly. Just definitely get a decent mask and goggles!

    Sorry I wasn't very clear. Not the bricks... I meant the plaster that is on the wall the other side of the bricks that I've removed the plaster from already. My room is separated from the other room via wall and chimney. That's the infected wall and chimney. Hope that makes more sense now :)...

    Thanks for the great information. Not really seeing how the eml would do anything I agree. Sounds like removing plaster to brick work is the way. More dust love it!! Obviously I'm going to be over careful with removing Plaster..im assuming acro/pillars are not really required between ceiling...

    Thanks!! Im bit speechless! Haha i would prefer to get it fixed permanently but surely I have to actually remove the stained bricks from the chimney stack and get it throughly cleaned everywhere inside through that hole or it's pointless doing new render and plaster? And the chimney stack...
