I always use normal building sand, and I mix the top coat 5-1 with a touch of lime , My main line of work is people dash and never had any problems with that ratio. Hope that helps :RpS_thumbup:
Ye the Scratches down the middle are on them doesn't affect it in any way. I've always used marshal town permashape can't go wrong. Can't comment on the nela trowels as I've never used one but the lads seem to like them! Good luck buddy!
Not going to kick up an arguement here but you can't tar every plasterer with the same brush! I travel all over wales to do my work, yes don't get me wrong local jobs are great but I'm working 1hr 20 mins away from house and I know many boys who are willing to travel. There's no real shortage of...
In wales prices have been going down, many plasterers around me willing to skim 2 coat for £2.50 pm!! Shocking! Ewi prices gone down too from £17 pm2 down to £12pm2 (including boarding) most company's got Latvians and Polish working for them really hard to compete!
I feel your pain buddy I had my mt permashape stolen. I had it for about 6 years and it was moulded to me then had to buy a new one :RpS_crying: the new one is almost there but still miss it!
Hey guys got a small room to skim today realistically it could be done in 2 sets ceiling then all four walls as it's only small. Always been against wet angles but would like to hear other views. Cheers lads:RpS_thumbsup:

Hi Keith thanks for the welcome I hand apply. Just a small fish in a big pond and the moment haha hopefully joing the big boys with the machines soon :RpS_thumbup:
