Hello McPlaster. Gravity silos are most common. you can have a machine connected directly or convey from the silo to a machine. pressure silos are just for conveying really and some sites might have issues with such a large pressurised vessel on site. we know of silos being used in the uk with...
one site had 4 silo's, each with an EMP (a big M300) fitted to it. the silo's were sited one on each corner of the building, no more than 40 meters apart. thats mad. i cant see that we will ever be able to do that in the UK.
sorry, getting on abit yu no!
when i was babbling on about the equipment in Germany i was trying to highlight the silo use rather than what actual spray machine was being used.
Hello Sprayit
The m-tec range of equipment is mostly, with the exception of the 110v machines, aimed at the German / Mainland Europe countries. I have found that the UK health and safety requirements has hindered things some what over the years. In Germany, as you may well know, the use of...
I really dont know why that has happened Les. I have never come across it before. The very early 2007 models did not have enough strengthening in the motor mounting plate which allowed it to flex slightly. These should have now been replaced FOC. Otherwise it could be the motor plate is not...
I think the recession has put new development on hold over the last year or so but i will keep you updated.
The Duomix 2000, in my opinion and for our line of business, has been great. Yes it takes an extra couple of mins to clean and the magnets can be a pain but its features and adaptability...
Markham started in 1950 building furnaces in Sheffield. In the 70's they progressed into the supply of equipment for use in the Refractory industry mainly and also the Coal mines. I started here on a yts in 1987 and in 1989 we took on the agency for m-tec. Plastering machines is only a small...
Hello all
I have had a call from a guy called Chris, based in Yorkshire but it willing to travel. He say's he has machine experiance and is looking for work. PM me if you want his telephone number.
Morning all
The m-tec M100 110v machine was designed around the original smart machine which is quite a few years old now. It was built at the request of material manufacturers and some large contractors who suggested that there was a big need for a 110v single phase skimming machine.
The M100...
I completely understand what you are saying Southern. In fact we have received allot of new customers over the years who have come to us to help them or to repair equipment that they have purchased elsewhere (and more than just one supplier and make).
The reason why i butted in on this in the...
My statement was - "if you can get £10.00 / m spray applied yet do 3 times as much in a day then that surely is fantastic."
My point is to do with the benefits of having a spray machine, any spray machine. I choose not to pull any make of machine down because i feel that if i do then that...
sorry church, only just seen this post.
its funny how the PFT reps take the time to pull other manufacturers machines down whilst boasting that there machines are the best.
personally i would never and have never pull any type of machine down. my view is that the more machines being used the...
O and we are in Nottinghamshire, not Yorkshire lol.
pwi - Ian Gracie is worth contacting and i am sure he would be happy to look at it for you mate, i have there number if you want it.
who said we were going to Scotland to fix machines? I said we go to Glasgow allot and can call in whilst we are passing. Why would anyone need to question why we do business in Scotland? Very strange me thinks !!!!!!!
Southernmonkey is spot on about the nozzle cap. If its the cone type you need the air pipe further back. You might want to try a bigger nozzle cap also, say a 14 or even 16mm.
You want to put it in a vice and use something like 50mm x 10mm flat bar to turn the rotor out of the stator. dont use hard steel as this can crack the rotor head.
We have have "T" bars made up to remove the rotor from the stator after each use. It only takes a few seconds then you can flush the stator out and clean the rotor. At the start of a job we spray the stator and rotor with silicon spray (about £3.00 a tin) and fit it back into the stator then do...
My Name is Garry and i work for Markham (Sheffield) Ltd (have done for 23 years).
The main reason for joining this site is not to try to sell machines but to find out how far the machine plastering / rendering has developed over the years. Markham's have been agents for m-tec equipment for 20...
