I’ve had the same view. But ….
I brought my Iveco for 5k about 7 years ago. It’s cost me about 1k a year to keep it going countless problems with electrics etc just as an example. Then you lose about a weeks worth of money with it being in and out of garage so let’s say another 1k. So the van...
Nice van mate, but after something I can stand up in, and something I can slick 8x4s in on the deck and still get me bags and gear in side door.
Not sure if any customs are this big?

I’ve been looking at this one but trying to justify 27k on something that’s nearly 4 years old and got 40k on the clock……
With not being vat registered, seeing vans + vat your like for fcuks sake. I seen a mint van for 16k + vat, then I’m like I don’t wanna give 20 for something that’s worth 16.
Is there away around vat for us lads that aren’t registered?
@madmonk … How did you get on in your van hunt mate?
I’m looking to upgrade my 09 Iveco to a Ford transit, but it’s a minefield out there at the moment.
@Complete … Feel your pain mate, I’ve had sciatica since February now and not had a pain free day since.
Had private MRI scan and I’ve got a bulging Disc L5/S1, which if I don’t get sorted will become a herniated disc like you.
I’m Drinking lots of water and doing certain exercises see physio...
My diet isn’t great. Not the worst. Probably a couple of stone over weight if I’m honest. But like most of us it’s work work work kids at home etc, there isn’t 5 mins to take a s**t, never mind look after ourselves.
I probably don’t drink enough hence why I had kidney stones a few years ago.
I don’t take any supplements and don’t do any exercise outside of work I’m not much overweight. Had this since March now.
The lady doing the acupuncture says the inflammation needs to go down for pain to go away.
Cant even put my socks on in the morning never mind do my boot laces. Pain killers waste of time. Acupuncture not really doing much but only had 4 sessions. I’m wearing one of those weightlifting belts just to get through the day. It’s demoralising.
Been told to Exercises, but how when you can...
I’m going to go for a Ford transit lwb high top. But would begrudge 25-30k out the savings.
Even considering a loan as interest is so low.
I’ve got until September before the Iveco fails another MOT and costs a fortune
@hstoke @hollybank
s**t load of stock everywhere from what I’ve seen ..... Are we still going stock up or reckon it’ll be ok? Weighing up a Wickes run in morning
I’m I reading right the highly Ah the heavier the battery?
I got the Hilti collated couple of years back with 2x 5.2ah batteries and it weights a ton. Good for the radio as lasts for ages......
