looked at a job yesterday, big multi million pound house. Sand and cement on the out side, not a good finish as it stands (old work) lots of patching to be done, another spread has had a good and looks a mess, explained to customer you will always be able to see where it's been patched in even...
cheers bones but as you say leave the mesh coat to set hard and then but a top on it i would of thought the next coat would need a primer on something to bind it to the mesh coat? sorry if im being a numb **** :RpS_confused:
the systems from a company called la rock, iv never heard of them. iv been told i need to but on a coat with mesh in then when this is dry top it off with another coat of the backing before the acrylic just wonder if there should be a primer going on before the second coat of base to bound it to...
Cheers owls iv done acrylics before and thin coat renders just not these ewi systems, done a lot of work for this guy in the past and we've just finished up f/set 300m2 on an extension on his house now he wants the outside in this render iv explained to him iv never done it but he won't use...
I was under the impression it was the same gear, or similar? Iv used systems like this before so I'm pritty confident, so it's the base coat with mesh in followed by the top coat them primer then acrylic?
yeah got an insulated render job, used both ocr and acrylics been told to give it a wipe over with ocr and bed the mesh in, then when this is dry put on another coat of ocr followed be primer and acrylic when dry is this right?
Got an ewi job coming up, I'm familiar with OCR and acrylics but not over insul, Ino you give it a coat of OCR then bed in the mesh then a second coat when this is dry but wondered does this first coat need any primer for the second coat?
Got a call today of a letting agency I do work for. Penetrating damp through all the wall at the rear of the property had aa look out the back and the old renders blown and knackered, so told her it needs hacking off and starting again, would you lads stick proofer in just the scratch as normal...
