    Rendering below dpc

So aslong as the drip bead is the same thickness as the corner beads everything will meet in nicely? Thanks for your help mate Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk

How do they work meeting with corner beads? Do they not stick out further? Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk

    Rendering below dpc

Spoke to Weber they have said to put a drip bead along the dpc then butt a stop bead up to it with a 5mm gap. Is there a difference between a drip bead and bellcast bead? Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk

    Rendering below dpc

So I have a small extension to render. Still on a learning curve with it to be honest. They want it rendered below dpc, which I've said isn't the best idea but the builders are insisting on it. Normally when dashing I'd fit beads round dpc dash it then finish the base course with smooth cement...

    Sealing render

So I'm about to buy a new house which has been rendered with k rend I believe. I highly doubt it's been sealed and I've noticed a few houses already have some staining appearing in earlier phases. We get the keys end of September so by that time it will have been rendered for about 4 or 5...

    Super duper paints

Uni will adhere to anything. I don't think these paints are as much a problem as the super glossy caked in grease kitchen paint in properties 60 odd years old Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
  12. PlasterCraftDundee

    what would you do here?

Stop bead will be fine. It's what we do on every extension if the existing isn't getting dashed. Just stick the bead around 10mm on to the existing Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk

    Where is the new plasters

I've got half a pallet of uni to work thru. I tried it a few years ago and never liked it. It feels a lot different now much smoother than multi. Used over boards today to give a fair comparison and the only negative with uni would be the price. Bring that down to around £7 and id defo buy it...

    Weber pral m

I've only went over rendaid once and have little experience with rendering but I had it on by 11 and was scraping around 4.30 5ish. It was a hot day around 20 degrees, hope that helps Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk

    Worst disasters

I skimmed over an artex ceiling for this millionaire who owns half of Dundee, he had gave me loads of work in the past. Cleaned up lifted sheets and furniture was back in the room and the ceiling came down in one big sheet all over the furniture and broke the fire place. Was there for hours...

    What type of block work?

Can anyone tell me what this block work is? It's looks very similar to standard concrete blocks but yellow colour and seems like precast. The house has been dashed but it is all falling off so I'm assuming the block work needs either treated or something like rendaid? The customer wants it...

    Rendaid too thick?

I think it turned out ok on the end. First time using Weber and only second time using mono. Learnt quite a bit not exactly perfect to be honest there was one or two hollows i only noticed once I scratched back and the sun moved. Found smaller areas like this a lot harder to get flat, maybe...

    Rendaid too thick?

First time using rendaid I put it on about as thick as I put multi on but when I rollered it it seem to leave a really thick stipple. I'm thinking I maybe mixed it s bit watery or went over it with the roller too soon. Will I still get 1m2 out a bag. Don't worry it's a good friends house and...

Yeah that does sound like rendaid. I'd normally use enewall myself think their version is base adhesive coat? A new merchant has started stocking weber next to me and i'm getting it cheaper than enewall. Have you used exposed aggregate to coat over existing dash? any tips i should know?

    Rendering onto facing brick

I have a customer wanting some mono applied to a small garden around their patio area. The wall has been built using facing brick which is quite smooth, should I rake out brick joints and go straight over with pral m or do I have to rendaid first?

    Enewall exposed aggregate

Got a job to overcoat existing dash, was gonna use this to get it all done in a day. I was under the impression I could give it a fungi wash and go right over it. Barca and Madrid have the ability to put 5 or 6 against any team in the world. The lesser teams in Spain are far more technical than even the best in England. Look what happens when spurs or Everton come up against them in europa league they struggle big time. The Italian league is on the up...
