Insulation render is expensive but u can get cheap insulation boards but the spec on them ain’t as good as the more expensive , tell your mate to dot and dab them on and get as level as he can , lay them long ways and staggered joints , once dabbing has set he will need an sds drill and drill...

So once u have 2nd coat on u 1st flat mt then medi 2 wet trowels then a crosstrowel ? Sorry to ask but we been having problems with them

Cheers buddy , so soon as flat with mt , don’t leave it and straight on with the medi 2 wets and then just keep trowel clean ? That about right

We have had them for a while , but we can not Seem to get our walls looking good at all, when they dry it looks like we have chucked loads of water at the wall and flattened , but we used none ,

A lot of lads are saying they are brilliant , but I’m either using wrong or there finish ain’t upto scratch

Never had so many problems ,we have tried leaving it going on it early etc , might use it to put on with it as it’s shite I think, prefer super flex all day long

Either get a Plasterer to plasterboard the wall and skim , or build a stud wall either timber or metal then insulate if needed and board and skim
