I'm trying to give Parex a go over Wetherby to see if it's any better for application and price. Price wise it's coming in a lot dearer. Not just materials price but a heavier spec. The spec I've been given from the merchants suggests that over well keyed brickwork Micro would be needed first then parmurex then 310 primer then DPR. The last 3 i understand but the micro aswell??? Can anyone that does a lot of Parex dpr shed any light on a typical spec for well keyed brickwork. Gracias!

Over brick I would always use micro, parmurex gives you chance to plumber things out its a good base if pits price dependent maite although it's dearer per bag there is more to the m2 than parmurex. If you use maite order the right colour so you can eliminate the 310 primer although you need to get a wriggle on if the base is dry!

I'm being quoted £117 for a 28kg bucket of 310. Wetherby primer is about £60-£70. Quite a price difference. The DPR is coming out about £15-£20 dearer a bucket than Wetherby. Is it that much better it justifies the extra £££'s

dpr your going to need a 10mm base parmurex, micro does nothing here unless there smooth or glazed bricks, its key or a sealant to kill suction.i wouldn't bother with it.

That's exactly what I thought @owls, that's why I was confused. Spoke to the local Parex rep and he said it needs micro too??? It's overkill surely.
