Hello guys,

I’m decorating my kitchen extension and prepping it for plastering.

I have areas that are what it used to be an outside wall with render that are now internal wall and some dot and dabbed.

I now need to fill the gaps between render and dnb that are exposed i.e.: solid brick and wondering if I should use hardwall or 6.1 sand/cement or maybe dnb adhesive?

All walls will be then pre gritted/pva’es and plastered over with multifinish.

Thanks

What’s your trade?

Plasterers are called plasterers for a reason....otherwise we'd just be called skimmers.
Let the plasterers do the prep!

Doing me head this game every Tom dick fkin Harry doing boarding an even bonding out expect us then to skim it get fuked an do your own job
Expect us? that’s what you are for, plastering or maybe I should have left building the walls to you as well because you’ll be plastering them over. Your language clearly shows you didnt do well at school and hence became a plasterer.

Only just joined the forum and all I got is abuse from a bunch of bigheaded “experts” lol. You’re not that special, you are only a plasterer.

Why not just let the plasterer do his own prep?
Because it’s not a rocket science and saves money + had a few quotes and they were all happy for me to do the prep work in fact one said he’s never seen plasterboard being installed so well and I’m not even a builder.

Sand and cement if solid outside walls
Better job than hardwall be less prone to damp.

True to the word, I did s*** at school too going around taxing dinner money off clever c**** like you, Got the taste for it hence plastering, loads of money!!

Don't need to prep up for other trades trying to save a few quid, because I became a plasterer and I'm considerably richer than yow, clever c***.

Lol, exactly the response I expected from you. Thanks for confirming my assumptions.

Oh yes, I am very clever, do it because I enjoy DIY and making sure idiots like yourself dont come and f*ck it up because there are too many about including yourself so no, you get sh*t from people like me.

You know nothing about me but since you touched the subject let me say it, I’m in the top 5% earners in the UK so whilst I can enjoy my dinners whenever I want, you dip your hands in mud every day to make pocket money and choose between having your dinner once a year or going on holidays to Isle of Wight.
