I have a council flat I stated taking down the tiles and all the plaster and I think it cement behind the plaster mostly came down with tiles the stuff was like dust I’ve knocked the rest of it down now I just got bricks but I’ve had 3 different men saying 3 different things I’m really confused the council said I got to fix as I shouldn’t of taken it down and I got a quote one man said 300 and the man 900 I’m really confused my bath is 160cm if that helps with size it is the smallest bathroom I’ve even seen

Bath gotta come out. It’s basically a complete refurb now.

Here's a few full stops I had lying around. Use them wisely.

It's the councils property so you'll have to finish what you started.

Get three (3) quotes and go with the middle one

A can of worms has officially been opened, that’s a complete rip out job now.

Whats the question
Sorry I lost with all this stuff one man said plasterboard then skimmed but the other man said bathroom can’t have plasterboard it need like a cement Stuff put on before the plaster and around how much should it cost I’m really confused now I’ve been told 3 different things and 3 different prices I want to know what should be done and around how much should it cost

That's £900 all day long.
It's not.

I've just finished a bathroom refit.

Rip off old tiles, remove bath and sink, fit shower tray, fit bidet, fit new sink and replaster one wall that's not being tiled.

Tile shower area and area under bath €1200 and I've got a real suspicion I was too cheap.

Neither of those quotes are likely to cover the cost of what you’ve started plasterer, plumber and tiling.
If you want to keep cost as low as possible don’t remove bath and sink you’ll only add more problems and costs but the toilet and rad will have to come out.

I only want the walls done all I’m confused on is one man said plasterboard and the other man said can’t use plasterboard in bathroom cor this is such hard work only walls I wish I never touched it

As Steve said if u want to cut costs keep the bath and sink in get it plasterboarded with standard plasterboard and skim would be the cheapest way or plasterboarded with moisture resistant boards abit more extra on top if you go with those boards

I just had another man turn up and said if I choose to go forward he want the toilet bath and everything out before he plasters and I gotta order the Materials I can’t pay a Plummer to do that then put it all back why it so hard just to get the walls done I swear people just see a girl and say so much I don’t understand I just want walls flat and a price I do t wanna take all the stuff out

300 quid is the kinda price you’d get off a desperate chancer
There’s a few on here pal ask nicely you might get lucky
Please put me on to somone I feel so thick an I’m sure cause I’m a girl people are taking the mick I admit I know nothing at all about diy stuff I just thought I’d save some money taking the tiles down i didn’t think all that stuff would fall off I’ve learn me mistake now don’t do diy

A. Everything out , redo from scratch.

B. Seal bath to wall properly, batten , board, fit bath seal trim, tile. Bog n basin have to come out to avoid step in wall to just plaster around them.

C. Then move quick !
