Multi-finish over bonding coat? Do I have to pva?

I am new to plastering. Would like some advice. I wanted to patch up some cracks in walls before skimming with multi-finish.

So I started patching the cracks and ended up just experimenting. So I resorted to doing one thistle bonding coat on most walls in the rooms. I then left it as didn't have time to finish. My question now is can I:

do only one coat of multi-finish on top of the bonding coat or does it have to be 2?

also because it has dried already should I pva over the bonding coat and then apply the multi-finish?

Forgive my ignorance

Thanks in advance.
