Looking at buying a Vauxhall Vivaro 2016 plate 37k miles full service history as it’s an ex BT

Just wondering anyone had one? It seems like some people rave about them and others say they’re a heap of sh*t!

Personally what I know about vans you could write on the back of a stamp!

They look pretty mate likes his, VW expensive but can't see why ? I'm looking at newish van for new year but keep coming back to transit custom L2. .

I know mate I keep thinking just get a transit and be done with it! But I just want something different but then there’s a reason why everyone has a transit! Vw are the rolls Royce’s of vans from what I can gather but ££££££

We've all had loads of vans . Vivaro engine went. Best vans was boxer, and Citroen. Great engines.but rust got them. Got a VW t5 in lockdown.57 plate 140.000 miles . Silver put alloys on and a few bits . Best looking van I've had. So solid and reliable, £5000 .I understand now why people rave about them . Best small van was transit conect , lwb.high top , lovely van . Get 6x3 pbs in it .only got rid of it because my mate sold me his vivaro cheap. Then the engine blew up .

I've got an 18 plate berlingo . Great on fuel but I'm a site plasterer so it's plenty big enough for what I need . Are kid had a vivaro nothing but headaches sold it and got a transit

That’s what I had before mate a berlingo that was the best van I’ve ever had

I was thinking berlingo or transit connect but not sure be big enough for mixer, barrow and bags of gear etc will fit in back ?

I think vans are like women sone are just tempremental f**k**s regardless of make...ive had a vivaro bloody lovley to drive but like others not been without problems...think its all bit of lottery with vans can only do so much digging even if know what looking for

I got 17 plate one swb, all around Nice van, looks good, especially in dark grey, they are fairly powerful and got a eco mode which saves me a lot of money in diesel when I drive around town, the only thing is, it goes sluggish as s**t once you in eco mode. I never had issues with the van, well maybe one thing which is a light coming on my dash with a message "check anti pollution system " it doesn't affect anything, been to vauxhall specialist many times and apparently it's a fault between battery and engine computer or something, so I'm not overly worried about it as it drives as it should and I think its quite common with vivaros. The inside is nice and got comfy seats arm rest etc, I'd add more cup holders if I could change anything, I got lcd display with mine so can listen to Spotify etc and got a sat nav too, although never used it. I haven't got heated windscreen which is a downside in the winter but if you turn blowers on it doesn't take long to defrost, I think customs are better equipped and better interior quality but that comes with price and that's why I went for vivaro.

Overall really nice van, I'd probably get another one in few years time.

A lot of vivaros are 1.6 litre engines so not much better than cars. Push the boat out and get a vw if you don’t like it or it turns out to be a knacker put a spoiler and bumper kit on it, get the back carpeted and sell it as an uncompleted conversion, you’ll get what you paid for the van, the extras and a bit more it’ll be a vw fanboys cumfest

Ridiculous money being paid for second-hand van's but the market's dropping, prices will be back to normal next summer if you hold out

My Mazda B 2000, on a 05 plate with 40,000 miles on the clock. I would trust this vehicle to do what ever I need to do. Must get asked once a month if it is for sale.
I have had 4 Mazda B, The last one I had for years then sold it for more then I paid for it.

I had a traffic van it was old but nice . An old lady drove into it wrote it off . She said has something happened. She was about 150 years old. . I was in the builders merchant one morning ,came out and got in the wrong van . The door opened and this big geezer screams wot the fook you doing in my van .

People been saying that about houses for years! I can’t see anything coming down in price unfortunately any time soon but in short I can’t hold out that long mate

Heard nothing but good things about trafics but I thought they were the same van as a Vivaro? People telling me they’re different? My Mrs used to care for an older woman and she was forever crashing her car getting it in the garage  her driveway was big enough for 2 jumbo jets f*ck knows why she put it the garage was a old rust bucket!

Probably a good time to buy just after Xmas when things be
quiet ? Haggle haggle HOW F@#£#£# MUCH !!! ??

There hit and miss bud I’ve had mine 4-5 years never skipped a beat but I’ve had mates who have had a ton of problems. No different to one of them rip off transit customs tho

It might be, but it also is how people look after the vehicle, my mechanic can't believe how well my van performs and how well it drives, but he told me once also that I'm he's only trade customer who gets stuff done as when it needs to be done, servicing, tyres, brakes, all the fluids right level etc, not f**k**g rugging the van like idiot on country bumpy roads etc. No money spared. Look after your van it'll look after you.

If you are hell bent on that vehicle get the Renault version, better aftercare in my opinion
Vauxhall don’t want to know after 12 months into the warranty.
Been there done it.

Transit custom L2 limited. Had it for 6 years and it’s been everything you could want. Just the usual wear and tear until the DPF issues when the vaporiser went.
Thought about a crafter for the size but when you’re on to a good van you’re daft to change. It really is the luck of the draw. Get a good one, hold on to it.
