Hi from a new member. I moved into a house with the worst finishes I've ever seen (orange peel everywhere, brush marks, paint runs, the lot) so started to teach myself from YouTube videos to apply a really thin skim coat of joint filler to smooth over them. Room 1 is nearly done (filling bubbles in the plaster are driving me crazy) and it looks way better than before.
Looking forward to learning from members here. I'm working from a handheld light when sanding or finding imperfections which is a pain and is too directional, so first stop is to find out what lighting you pros use. Those expensive LED tube lights or the cheaper site lights?
