What should I use to fill cracks in lime rendered / cement render repaired wall that has clay lump underneath?

Hi,

Some of it is quite old and built from clay lump with lime render over the top. At some point some cracks and quite likely various areas of the render have been gone over with cement render. There are cracks in the areas 'repaired' with cement render. I was intending to use an angle grinder to open up the crack a little and then fill. Should I use a cement render repair like Metolux or a lime intended filler like Casesin (that can breathe better)? Does Casesin bond to cement render? I don't want to make the problem worse or risk damaging the clay lump but I must fill it before the weather turns.

The render is a mess.
Just to repair the cracks I would cut the crack out ,try to get any loose dust out and fill the crack with Fischer resin.
