Hi. I realise this is a plasterers forum but I’m lost on whether I’m being picky or if a job someone came in to do hadn’t been done to the right standard. Any opinions welcomed. I know a bit of sanding down will be necessary and I accept a bit of fixing around the skirting when I come to paint but overall I’m very concerned that the finish is such that when I paint it’s going to be very visible after. All these lines started appearing a few days into the drying out. We are on day 3 post work done.
Next step I want to invite the guy back to take a look and rectify.
Much appreciated.

It’s not super tidy but it’s not terrible. I’ve seen some truly awful plastering before.

I don’t know what the edge line is to be honest. The square looks like a board patch. It’s normal to see shapes of board.

You definitely have some snagging. If you mist coat it it will reveal anything that will show through the paint.

Doesn’t mean you can’t ask questions of your plasterer. If I’d left plasterer like that round a light switch personally I’d be embarrassed and come back to look over the work no problem

That job is pure shite!
The edge lines you mention look like indentations from a twitcher to me.

He’s used to much water aswell you can see the fat marks where he hasn’t been able to get rid of the water with his trowel a cross trowel would’ve sorted that the lazy b*****d

Put the room on in one gauge probably a site plasterer used to having trades following snaggin. Marks are from twitcher.
It's not terrible people on here are highly critical because we are in the trade. Bit of sand paper and paint should be alright
Can't see it from my house
