Plastering patch and chases

Hi all. Got a small project to get a TV mounted on a wall. Didn't like the thought of wires so got a sparky to cut some chases and get 1 conduit for the sockets and another for just additional wiring. I've done a tiny patch Job before with expired multi finish which went okay. So this is my first biggest job. Filled in chases with bonding. My levelling sucks but I bought a speedskim. I know I should have set it 3mm beneath existing wall but it's semi set at this point so can't work it anymore. It's still wet in sections and have been waiting 3 hours to do my first skim coat. Does it usually take long for bonding coat to set? Rather get it done today... Thought I had to scratch but looks like general consensus is that you don't need to if applying multi straight onto finish so left the rest as is. Is that okay?

So and so...
Pva it before you apply the multi, and scrape any rough bits off and clean round the edges so you don't drag any gritty bits in to the finish.
Done. Just getting ready for the 2nd skim now. What sort of consistency am I aiming for on the 2nd coat? More runnier than the first?

Electrics regs have cable :zones : for a reason.

Reminds me of noughts & crosses
The one going diagonal is just for hdmi and any additional cable to power set top boxes and the likes if that's what you're referring too?

Would have thought so. I got him from rated people. He had a few reviews which did state he was a 'NAPIT approved electrical contractor' I actually said if it was possible having it diagonal to which he said that isn't allowed for the risk of cutting into it later on hence why he went up and across but he made no mention of it being a problem hooking it up from an existing socket...

Dollar is right, fckng diagonal. Why? Were you trying to save money ?
Doesn't matter "its only HDMI", if some muppet crosses wires or otherwise, it can become live. I'd be livid if I started to drill or cut a chase and hit that. It also meant you ended up having to patch a much bigger area.

Definitely wasn't the cheapest. If he told me it could only go vertical I would have Been fine with that. The job description was to get the conduit for excess wiring from point a to b. This is why I paid someone to come out because you think they'd point it out.

Anyway, another Plastering update. The skimmed big section is too low in the middle. Am I best to just replastered over that area using multi finish or do people recommend easi fill for that task as I can sand off it needed...

3 coat multi might work as its fresh, if you've got some left over. I'd be tempted to score it a bit or PVA it first, or at least wet it.

if you knew what you was doing sunshine you wouldn't be asking all these questions...you're obviously out of your depth...it's gonna cost you more time and money in an attempt to rectify that monstrosity you've created.... should've got a proper spread in to do it at the start

Prob best fill it, you’ll find it easier to blend in.
