PRB Rendering Materials

With all due respect, I think you’re looking at this in a particular way without the full understanding, or the full story.

Some of the materials are cheaper, some aren’t. If something is 20-30% cheaper, which it isn’t, I’m unsure how you would make a bigger margin to be honest mate.

I’m not here to fight you, or argue. So we can just leave this here mate

With regards to the free material, I was happy to offer something, enough for you to have an understanding of the material. The reviews so far are incredible and are speaking volumes
Well done and good luck ! Honestly!

We are probably the only place that doesn’t dual stock. I know of Parex stockists who also hold 4 other brands of render. I also know of many places De stocking Parex - penlaws for example.

Weber and other brands have no issue working with dual stockists - members of the Parex team themselves are embarrassed about the situation

Parex are ahead in the UK, no doubt about it, they have been here for 12 years and are a great company - despite my current views on their decisions. In France they are toe to toe with PRB who are a family owned company. PRB in France have a turnover in excess of 500 million, they know what they are doing and will support the UK and their stockists in the right way. And most importantly, they’ll look after the contractors and ensure they are the priority
I was using Parex 12 years ago, when they practically had zero market share. we we’re one of the first to trial parinter for them, we were also one of the first to use k rend when they started over here over 20 years ago.i suppose Parex can do what they want really, there the market leader by a fair stretch, but there products are getting expensive and they may well shoot them selves in the foot with it. There’s so many render manufacturers about competing.

It’s comical when you hear “I’ve no experience of these modern renders”
They’ve been around for 20 odd years, and we were fixing Ewi sto systems in the 90s.

They are indeed the current leaders. Along with Weber. It is a big market out there, those who focus on service for stockists and contractors and have quality products will make their mark on the industry

Recession or not , name, reputation and business module will be the same, so no excuses. Parex is a big name , multimillion business and by far the most comfortable and reliable brand to work with . They won’t be in the same warehouse with the competition as they are fare ahead and thus only means they’ll boost the competition sale! If you understand business modules and marketing sales you’ll know what is going on and won’t be winging about it.
All mono is pure s**t let's all be honest. Old school sand and cement is king. And there is no arguing against it. And better still is brick or stone. Render is only a poor man's finish.

There maybe a PRB stockist up there soon, I’ll let you know who they are if you wish to try the material mate
Sure let us know in a curiosity front and general interest point of view.
I’m happy enough with all our current suppliers and service they provide though. loyalty installs loyalty. As soon as that breaks down I’ll try a different option as I’ve done in the past.

Will do mate. Always worth having other options - confident you’ll like the material

Id go further to say the only proper render is old slaked lime. Sand and cement would have been slagged off like fkuc until it became the norm.

Lets face it youre right about render being sub par to brick work, but some houses bricks are looking shiiit after 50+ years and id rather have any thing other than sand cement.

Yes lime is a better finish. Stone is by far best

Laid on top coat yesterday. Very similar to parex
All went with out a hitch. If no one told me id guess it was parex I was applying. Labs happy with the 20kg bags as well lol.

All the manufacturers are the same they come to market cheap to get their foot in the door...then bump the prices up continually after a year...Fassa did the same.

That Bauwer light goes for ages . Does 10 neighbourhoods with 1 r&s. Stopped counting the pallets as it's normal,to lose the count after 1 month .
Hello vfr12. DMing you as you look like you've had loads of experience with Bauwer. We're doing a job on an old stone stable conversion. The BCO wants us to add some internal insulation but advises against anything organic, e.g hemp, wood fibres boards.
So was looking at lime based insulation renders like Cornerstone from Cornish Lime... But then saw Bauwer Light, which outclasses everything else on insulation value.
I see it is not just lime and does contain concrete, but is still permeable. Few Q's if you would be kind enough to advise

1. Can this go directly on a NHL 2 lime sand render (this has been applied to smooth and key the bare stone.

2. Is Bauwer Light compatible with fully lime based products as we are more used to using these. E.g Can we then render the Bauwer light with a lime based plaster.

3. Do we need to use mesh or fibres in application... Or before top coat.

Cheers Elliott

We used weber for a long long time, any product we've used from PRB are comparative quality wise, the machines like it and P1 delivery works for us. Parex seemed too complicated to source colours and quantity from encon, good products though. Weber now do half pallets from minsters but PRB is our go to.
