Hi all,

Been teaching myself plastering. Just plastered two cupboard walls on a hot day. One was over old painted plaster which I had pva'd over first, the other, new plasterboard. The pva'd wall has started cracking up (but in not laughing ;)

Any ideas why this might be?

Many thanks,

Paul

You got a warm breeze coming through that door way

The cracking aside the finish looks better than a few ‘professionals’ on here would do.
Your certainly one of the bad ones that's why you gave it up! Constantly going back to jobs to put right. Stick with the trains fat controller!

old painted plaster hey,,and you say plasterboard wall was ok,,,sounds like you have pva,d and plastered over whitewash mate, its cracking like you have,,can you pick it off,,,,you have to sugar soap and scrub whitewash off the walls prior to plastering
