Hi I’m not sure if you can help me but I thought I would ask here?

I’ve been plastering 15 years have my own business but I am looking to take up Venetian plastering.

I live in Oxfordshire and I am looking at taking up courses to learn Venetian.
I’m looking at trying it in my own home before taking up the course.

A. What are the best courses for me to take?
B. When doing it in my own home how easy is it to rectify if goes wrong ?
C. Any advice and tips ?

Hi, I learned with Anthony evans at venetianplastering northwest or stucco&stucco do a weeks course, I wouldn’t recommend just jumping straight in on practicing on a wall at home until you’ve done the course buddy, repairing Venetian can be done but it’s very hard to do so.

Hi thanks mate, I’m goi g to call imperial Italia in the Morning about booking the 3 days course but because of Covid I’m not sure if the courses will still be going ahead.
I hear there isn’t much of a demand in England for Venetian to be taken out is that correct

The established Venetian company’s seem to be getting the work in mate but yea it’s hard just starting out, I’ve had quite a bit of interest when I’ve posted my sample boards or walls I’ve done for friends&family but as soon as you tell them the price you don’t hear anything back, i think the work is out there just need to attract the right type of client who doesn’t mind paying.

Speak to Andy marshall at gold trowel mate,he's knows his stuff. There are many companies out there teaching who have only been in the game a couple of years but won't go into that.I trained with Andy over 15 years ago and he teaches traditional venetian appose to all these metallic paints which anyone can do.I do mainly microcement but also get venetian come in,it just depends your clientele. Its paid off for me and I'm currently opening a showroom as it's doing well.Good luck with it all.
