I seemed to be getting better results when I put my second coat on thin as fuuck, been told to put it on thicker, could that be causing pitting?
Don't put a second thick coat on, will cause tiger stripes and ripples keep your second coat thin

Who told you to mix 2nd coat thicker? Your dad
I went with a gang for a couple days just to get some experience and they mixed it wetter than first but put it on thicker than I did before, so I carried on like that

After flattening in with a spat when wet does this look too early for the next trowel?

Put all the gimmick trowels and soats away.

Use 1 13 inch maximum trowel start to finish.

If you try to trowel up your work and your putting lines in and not taking them out its to early thats it. Simplexas that pal
