Its only good for when say walls have been dry lined then lining pappered on top as wen they try getting lining paper off its a mare and there damage all the boards etc,if you catch what I mean

Don’t know mate I hate the stuff. A builder I sometimes do some graft for slaps the shite everywhere, so on his jobs I just run a light scraper over it to get the worst off before I start.

I gritted all my walls that I used the mesh on John.
Personally I think that the best grit for internal work is Parex Microgobetis, but I usually use BG Bondit.

Wickes bonding agent mate. Nice fine small aggregate and dries fast too.
You can get in bigger containers, branded differently and works out cheaper (than wba)...

PVA and Handful of sand of your choice
Tried pva and bonding aswell, pulled in fine, not as fast as I thought it would do before hand.
Pva was 2 to 1 water mix, not neat...
Still worked well.

I wouldn't trust any grit, no matter how good, if the wall is covered in wallpaper paste. Gotta get as much of that off as possible before even thinking about gritting, as the paste will be the weakest link.
