Bond It Failed

Anyone else had bond it fail?

Came through the plaster on me like wallpaper.

Obviously I did the right thing - rubbed a bit of fat on it at the end and ran off. Wont be getting a call back cos it's a flip house but what might have caused it?

I'm thinking either lab put it on too thin, I scraped a hole in it somehow and water got behind it or the 24 hrs might be a bit light, though manufacturers spec is usually way over.

Anyone?

Boring thread!

I've peeled bond-it off of glossy walls before, one of the reasons I went back to PVA (also bought a scabbler for roughing gloss which is immense)

Could of been eggshell paint. I've had it happen over textured polycell paint years ago which was the first time I used bond it. Unfortunately with high gloss paints & eggshell you never know how well the wall was prepared by whoever decorated it so, you Always run the risk of patches failing.

Reported to the bodge it and run away police.

Did you actually leave it for the full twenty four hours? I often find it does need it. Did it look completely dry?
My guess would be no to one of those questions.

Yeah they stay put with staples
