Covering these bricks

Hi folks, what is the best way to cover these bricks. Sand, cement and lime or heat resistant Plaster. Customer wants a smooth render finish on the outside but is willing to just paint the inside if its a ball ache to do. The stove gives off a lot of heat and the room has a sloping glass roof and glass walls on the opposite side. It can be 40° in the room on a hot day with no heating on.

The best way to deal with those bricks involves a sledgehammer.
Sand and cement might crack (probably will) but you will never, ever hear of me using that heat resistant gear. Not ever!
Once was more than enough.

I did mention a sledgehammer funnily enough.:) He wants a smooth finish on the outside and if he doesn't like it he will rip it out remove the chimney. He said 'I just want it done, I'll pay you an hourly rate plus materials if its easier'. I've used that Vitcas stuff in the past and its horrendous to work with. The base coat is like a concrete mix and the top coat is like blu tac.

Agreed, the worst product I've ever used.
