Carlite ultra finish

Members online

Carlite has not been used in uk for over 20 years.
the Carlite from Ireland is a totally different material to what was used in UK.

As above I have got hold of aload of carlite ultra finish how do you rate this guys? Never use it before to me it just looks like drying times are quicker advice needed please
It's supposed to set in 2 hours but it's normally 2.5 tbf. Nice to use than multi imo. Though first time using it, was also first time skimming mortar over high suction thermolite blocks. That was fun. Caught me off guard lol 1sr hit was set for 10 o clock though

If its just u using it wouldn't mix a big 3 bag batch of it at once, til u get used to the timings of it case it tightens too much in the bucket.

Comes up grey/white when it's dry.

Do you mix it same thickness as multi and board etc ? How much was you mixing up at a time someone else also said it’s better than multi and board

I can remember using carlite finish over twenty years ago . It dried pink like multi . We used it over larges areas of hard wall because it took ages to set

Work with labourer, just mix one bag at a time, but you could get away with a bag an a half or 2 bags at a time like
