2nd render coat not stuck

Whats the best way to go about finding someone for this? i'm a bit embarrassed about the wall to be honest.

Sbr the wall and go again

The trouble now with a bonding agent like waterproof pva or sbr and the others is that he has now caused deep scratches. If he uses a bonding agent the thickness thats going to go into the scratches will cause slumps. Hard and frustrating enough for an experienced renderer to get over but a diy’er will have problems.

Try yell.com or google rendering (your area).

You will struggle atm because its the height of the rendering season. You will have more chance post November.

It’s hard to advise him really John but if he sbrs it it’s only small out a tight coat on and go over again after he will get it I think

Should of just knocked it all off and started again . This job is going from bad to worse imo,

Buy a tyrolean gun on Amazon 20 notes . Mix sand and cement 2to1 put drop of pva in it and splatter it . Paint it job done .

This looks like a straight forward one to sort out...Rendagrip following by a tight coat of MS20. Obviously no one is going to guarantee it because the scratch coat is an unknown...but I'm sure one of the lads on the forum can get it done for you.

Hi please go easy i am new to cement rendering. I've got a 6.6m by 1.5m block wall i used a 4-1 plastering sand/cement mix on the scratch coat then 5-1 coat. The scratch coat has stuck solid but my top coat cam away in parts so i have removed it all. Not sure what to do next. Thanks for any advice
I would of paid a professional but out of the 3 i contacted only one turned up but then failed to even call back.

the scratch doesnt look the best

my guess Is the suction killed it

Hi Ed
All you need to do is wash off all of the dust created by you using the grinder to key the wall, apply a scud coat of 2 sharp sand to 1 cement over your existing wall. Allow this to harden for 2 days, then get a plasterer to apply a finish coat of 4 plastering sand to 1 cement, add recommended quantity of plaz (See plaz container) If unsure fill the cap of the plaz container twice, no more and allow the mix time in the mixer. Enjoy

The op hasn't been on since August 2019 so he may not read this or reply.....
