My dad weld's a lot always in a T-shirt
Looks like he's got sunburn on his arms

I don't wear it all the while, but Demo and some sweeps on chimneys is really dodgy because of the soot, this one is good and I can wear it long term and breath easily with it on;
£23 for my lungs is cheap after watching my father slowly die from emphysema, in his case smoking. I keep forgetting the ear protection though and its going a bit now.

Ffs can’t make this up @zombie i cut this out just now

I go as far as wearing ear defenders when whacking boards back. That sound is deafening!
A proper mask is a no brainer. When you see the dust when it’s sunny it makes you realise how much you’re breathing in even when you’re not mixing. FFP3 or better. None of them crappy cheap paper ones. They don’t do s**t.

I know it's silly & not clever but I've never been able to wear a mask when needed.

It's never bothered me before and strangely still doesn't bother me at work but last few months seem to cough alot in the evening.

Is anyone else like this?
Yep.been spreading all sorts of crap since 1980.cough an shortness of breath.even had to give up smoking.wear a mask.

Should've re-read my own fcking mail - snotting up s**t today after spending couple of hours inside a fireplace demo'ing - so keen to get on I forgot about a mask, and ear protection, and in any case had left it at home - Doh!

One set of lungs and they can't be cleaned. When they are gone that's it. Look after them. 3m make the best masks. Yes they are £20 but worth the money

I've had my son on my case for the last ten years. "Oi, put your mask on" "Oi where are your ear defenders?". Both utterly sensible and I'm slowly learning. But it's a bit too late for my hearing.
God the clouds of Browning we breathed in when mixing in a bath. Wonder we're still alive.
Another neighbour of mine had people mixing in a bath!

Did your cough go away?
Looking back was it COVID?
Anyway back about late February 2020 I struggled to breathe at night for two nights and thought it was due to breathing in Multi in the day when mixing.
Shrugged it off at the time. About April I thought back on it all and had worked for a couple who had come back from China and been quarantine and they said they had the flu!
Concluded it was COVID
