Went to view this place on Thursday night , absolutely lovely stone walls , customer is after beefing up insulation of the place they have carefully chipped away at two rooms to get the crap plaster off , love the look as it is tbh and told them insulate the ceiling then leave the rest as it would look gorgeous with a nice floor down and some logs burning on a grate in fires

This was the most interesting to me to the left of the main fire looks like they had an additional use for the heat anyone know what originally that would of been used for ? It’s been filled with more stone since built but can see the lintel and there’s a like a flue in left of the main fire to it

Our house was buit early 1500 ish, has some amazing features if you like old Houses, some amazing Beams, apparently some of them used in ships at Gloucter Docks. A covenent was placed on the timbers stating if possibly to be brought back to source to be recycled.

funny about hinges, but its not the hinges more the position on the frame.
your jobs should have had 30mm width full length packers to both sides.

Why use packers when you could stuff some of that rape tape of yours ya dirty slag!

Disagree, every door / job needs to be looked at properly and then be worked to the best off the ability that God gave you , for your sins, my son ! ;)
