2008
18 years between those ones

10 Years between those ones
1980
7 Years between those ones
1973
12 Years between those ones
1961
5 years between those ones
1956

add up those years 18 + 10 + 7 + 12 + 5 = 52 now take 52 and divide it by 5 = 10.4 that is how you work out an average... so base on the last 6 recessions in the uk they have come on average every 10.4 years....

There is easier ways to make money

Stay busy charvas

Talking to a few trades last week or so and all have said work seems to have slowed down a little .
Maybe down to christmas . One builder says they have built a load of house in ponte and there sat empty. Few in our village been built and not one sold yet.
May just be me stressing over xmas coming up but got a gut feeling things are gonna slow down . Everyone else still stacked out
Hopefully things will pick up in the spring.

Only you would know when every recession was lol

3 day week would suit me fine
I’m with you there! Can’t see it though nearly all new customers I speak to say they can’t get hold of a plasterer for love nor money! One I did yesterday said I was the only one to turn up out of 3 people! Wish she would of told me that before i done the job would of put another £100 on top:ROFLMAO:

If there’s any sign of a slow down, big newbuilds come to a stop, as developers land bank. I’ve seen no sign of it. We’re currently looking at sites that are going out of the ground now and next year, so into 2021 for rendering and there still flat out with enquires for them, off plan, so they are building.

And that’s beside record employment levels, cheap mortgages, people living longer and longer, population getting bigger demand is outstripping supply of houses, people staying where they are and extending/renovating etc.

I have said this before, domestics are closely linked to consumer spending. Service sector. Which last month showed one of the worst figures since records began. I know where John j is coming from. Their is a contraction and figures show that. If you are busy good luck but some are now feeling it tight.
