Been on domestics now for the last 8 years, boarding, skimming float and set the lot. Just recently I have been doing open plan extensions all board work and it’s been a breeze compared to skimming mrs Jones artex ceiling.

been offered some work starting Monday on site on price work (something iv never done). Currently normal set size on a domestic is 2 - 3 bags. I’m hoping to push this a bit more as got no shite to go around and nothing in my way. Is this going to be enough 2 - 3 sets a day to make any coin, 3.50 a metre there paying.

also any tips for me to make the transition any easier?
Thanks

the big problem with site work is the stopping of tax from your earnings, this will equate to 1 days pay per week. you still have the expensive of getting yourself to site.
the rate you state it is sub contract off a plastering contractor. you will make a living but you will earn every pound you get.
most sites are run by non practicable people who have not got a clue. so there is always a feck up.

Go for it you only live once , if don’t like it do what you been doing , worse case scenario do a week and f**k off

Sites in winter must be a depressing place? Its bad enough turning up to the odd domestic without heating installed. I couldn't be dealing with that for 3 or 4 months
