That's really good, it doesn't state what the substrate is though - so assume it's just plasterboard?

Shame it's only in a couple of places, why can't they franchise this

Free course with a free toolbox, can’t be bad. Let’s flood the trade with labourers who can now skim “to the required standards” on site and drive the rates down even further.

90% OF plasterers I meet as I've got older can barely skim anyway . Give them something else to do like external or floating the dickhead are back in the van and gone

The course I went on, we were only taught how to skim with multi using a 14" marshall, we were taught how to install plasterboard and use the tape. Absolutely no 'real world' scenarios or different types of plaster.

I've gone out of my way to learn via youtube and this forum, both of which have been really helpful, I've had good advice on how to tackle specific problems and can't really thank everyone enough for their patience

Spot on bud,skim shiners I call them got 29 different trowels to finish a wall then put in on social media and think there god like (lumpy)

There seems to be a flood of adult training courses in the building trade at moment. I know a lot are funded by government.
They must be expecting the building trade to keep booming.
Shame the wages ain't reflecting it.

They get found out there not gonna be banging much on of any quality after 6 weeks! People soon get found out, they realise how hard it is and go back to working in a factory making buttons!!

Tbh I don’t know what my views are on this course , but it does say to teach someone with trowel skills already to apply bigger hits , might see if I can get in it myself
