Yeah if tight coat normal bonding fine but i use bonding 60 now
Do you always pva prior or go straight on with your Bonding?
I'd love to see if you could get away without needing to pva all the time on those sort of jobs to keep the mess down!
I haven't got the bottle to try!
Badger! LolAsk em if there tiling and just skim whats gonna be seen ......
Dry?? Hahahahaha!I pva or wet wall mate, have done it dry few times it's ok but turns turn to orange peel and just gets messy
I've never once pva'd before bonding chases or back to brick and never had a report of a fail, only PVA if on the top of something old and smooth, also not scratched it back, use a sponge to rough the surface and give a key ....did masses of bonding in my lounge diner about 3 years ago and not a crack or anything and been back to loads of jobs where I did the same and never an issueDo you always pva prior or go straight on with your Bonding?

Get a halftime in it too ready to skim in an hour and cos it sets fast no need to second coat as non of the shrinkage cracks you normally getWith my luck It would fail 1st time!!!

I PVA where it's thin or smoothIt's more where it's applied thin and over paint/artex/ old skim etc I'm curious.
Chases and such you will be ok though I still pva anyway tbh or at the very least wet area down.

Never wet a chase yet but I'm rough, but never seen a crack along a chase I skimmed so farSame i always at least soak chases as all the dust

As said I don't know, sure I'll get bashed to f**k as normal but never done it, just if the first coat shrinks second coat it with same gear and always been okProblem with chases is the dust in there, so if dont wet or pva then the bonding can just be balanced on dust, skim will hold it all in but wouldn’t be as strong.
That said, if you’ve not had any issues maybe I’ve been waisting my time pissing in chases
I'd have to atleast wet the chase first, wouldn't feel right going in dry.
