Recently started a job where paper was steamed off and pulled skimming off with it which is very thin skim possibly the old sirapite back ground is very thirsty so we used 2 tubs of SBR just wondering what you would use any tips greatly appreciated skimoooo

Piss weak pva to start with to absorb into wall. Then second stronger coat once piss weak has gone tacky and been absorbed by wall!

Then skim away. If still goes too fast keep a sponge handy just in case.
 
stabilizer then pre grit , the profit margin on these products are higher and better than anything else imo
 
Couldnt work by me sen now . Even if its just some one to set up and tidy up. Note better then finishing last gage and everythings packed away

its a nice luxury but i aint paying someone to watch me plaster. i load van when lay last gauge down
 
Gardz these days on surfaces like that the day before. Really takes a few hours to set and seal nicely so applying the day before helps the gardz seal nicely. Then Pva 4-1 and knock up mix. Wickes sell plaster sealer which is like artex sealer that is made for priming surfaces like backing plaster but it's £30 for 6lt. Works well though.
