I'm not a plasterer by trade and won't insult you by saying I am, Ive only learnt what I've learnt out of curiosity, and my god it was an up hill battle, once you've got a mix on there is more to go wrong.

Any way to the point, these are pics of my current work I've done to help my sister out ceilings are all artex, the walls are mostly good just need filler. I did put in a door way board it and plaster it and the adjoined wall,
Sadly they got painted before I got pictures.
What I really want is suggestions on short courses as I want to improve my technique who is best to use near Essex

Have you got a garage? If yes, board it out, skim it then re skim it then again bobs your uncle
If you haven't a garage try Goldtrowel in Essex

I was looking at gold trowel my finish is good and flat just want to be shown those things you can't just read about

Looks pretty good! You could always offer to go along with a time served spread. He wins with free labour and you save money that would be spent on a course
