Hi i have been reading about the plastic trowels and was wondering about trying it out on this big wall i have to reskim again. Can i just use a plastic float for the entire process or do i put first coat on with steel trowel then flatten with plastic one and use it for second coat ..Any advice...

Did think this but not sure whether not to reskim and hope it comes out better (there is just a few patches that look a bit shabby where i missed )..the wall is 16ft long by 8ft high ,the trouble is it's like an oven in here and it soon starts to go off if i am messing about with it.Is easy...
