    lol worth a go i guess, ha. i hate every other trade. they never think about us, chippys leave screws sticking out causing us to have to mess about with sanding our trowels again, then theres there door linings being so thick you need bonding first!!! i could go on all day lol.

    loads of tiny bubbles?

    if you find you get lots of bubbles in the first coat when its ready for 2nd coat keep your trowel as flat as you can when you go over it the last time beffore putting the 2nd coat on. this should flatten the bubbles and preventing them from coming through to the 2nd coat, works for me anyway. aj.

    i have bought dust sheets that have rubber on the reverse this prevents the dirty water going through onto the carpet and you only have to put dust sheets down and not mess about with other stuff. put left over plaster into the empy plaster bags and any other rubbish. any dirty water left over...

    New Angle Beads when skimming?

    wood expands and retracts with heat so it doesnt matter how much pva you put on them it will always crack. ive had this problem with old door frames left in etc...lots of pva, ponding, scrim....still cracks. id say to take wooden beading of and bond it up then once dry put new beads on.

    plastering inside fireplace

    as far as im aware theres no special way, done a few with just the normal materials, bonding for backing coat and multi finish for front coat, obviously if theres sign of dampt etc sand and cement with water proffer etc. as long as its left to dry for a good month before the fire put in it...

    damm dont you just hate jobs like that!! know how you feeling with the kitchen we had one like this while ago, center island makes you need 4 times the dust sheets as normal a right pain in the backside. lucky there was no clutter there though, thats very annoying also. still if your busy now...
