Hi Leebo, customer wants a smooth skim finish mate.

I thought purely as it's creamier and easier to work the corners and at the same time fills the hollows. Just a thought thats all.

Hi Warrior, before the conservation turned up the customer wanted a multi finish style result. Explained to her that one coat gave a more cottage effect feel but shes still demanding "smooth" walls. They also backed off a lime putty finish due to cost so Im just looking for options really...

Ok I'll ask on this thread (is that allowed?)! Basically I've just started a renovation job in a Grade 2 listed cottage. We've taken down all ceilings as they were nearly touching the floor. Conservation guy has come In and asked me to replace all ceilings with new lath and lime render/plaster...
